Turtle Cove was friendly, clean and convenient - we enjoyed it! Visited: January 2004

My husband and I spent two nights at the Turtle Cove Inn before moving to our timeshare week.

We had reserved a pool view room and fortunately, we were upgraded to marina view, which made a huge difference. The room was comfortable with two full beds, a bath with shower, mini-fridge, and a balcony with views of comings and goings at the marina.

The pool offered ample chairs/chaises for sunning, with shaded areas. It was great to be in walking distance of six restaurants. Our favorite of all time on Provo is now Aqua Grille, right on the property. We also enjoyed Sharkbite and Tiki Hut; but less the Banana Boat. Baci was wonderful for more upscale ambience. We have not yet tried Magnolia.

On site was a small convenience store with a limited but adequate supply of soft drinks, some alcohol, etc.

All in all, it was a nice place to begin a wonderful vacation!

They don't bend the rules here! Visited: January 2000

Just got back from my second stay in Turks and Caicos. This was my first stay at the Turtle Cove Inn with 5 other female friends.

The front desk staff were unpleasant and not willing to bend the rules about check-out time. Checkout was at 1 pm and the Delta flight left at 5 pm. There was not a place to shower, only an undesirable restroom off the bar to rinse our hair off in the sink.

The rooms were decent and clean. The beach was more than a 5 minute walk...more like 10 minimum. Ocean Vibes, which was next door, offered great snorkeling and scuba trips.

Had a very nice time when I stayed August 7th - 11th, 1998. Hotel manager Sandra, was very kind to show me other parts of the island as well. Truly a beautiful island, words and brochures cannot begin to describe what a beauty this unspoiled island has to offer. Thanks so very much. See you in the year 2000.

My husband and I are always looking for a bargain. Believe me, we lucked out when we booked two weeks at the Turtle Cove Inn. When we decided to holiday in Provo, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. All we wanted was peace and quiet and to learn how to dive. Our room was huge, (two double beds, a table, two chairs, a writing desk with a chair, a decent sized bathroom, an alcove in the entrance way with an extra sink and closet. Our balcony (every room has one except if you're on the on the floor level) overlooked the pool and lovely garden.

In the morning we would saunter down to the restaurant. Choices! We could sit down to a 'marina view' or 'pool view' or at the large semi-circular bar and chat with other sleepyheads while we enjoyed our fresh coffee...wonderfully strong...mmmm... I can still smell it (and the sea air)!!! The breakfast menu was superb... as rich as lobster eggs benedict to plain muffins toasted with cream cheese, to tropical fruit salad. Couldn't starve here, could even lose a few pounds... and reasonable prices, considering you are in Turks and Caicos, which can get quite expensive.

In the evening, we could chat with the folks who had boats at marina... from all over! Germany, England, Ireland, Canada, the US (of course) and the locals, who came to party, or just to have a drink and unwind at the end of a long work day. Dinner menu? At The Terrace, gourmet... at the place we had breakfast... more local stuff but still interesting and satisfying. If it's still available, try the Cajun Zoo pizza... spicy, full of seafood and... yum!!

To put it plainly, hubby and I walked Grace Bay (one of the most beautiful white-sanded beaches I have ever walked on... powdery, no one for miles except at 10 am we saw a nice German man and his dog in two stints) and visited almost every resort (nothing much else to do) and Turtle Cove Inn was still the place we wanted to come back to. It had the most reasonable rates in all of Provo. We liked it so much (and the DIVING!!!) we booked a room and even prepaid our airfare for early February of '99 but the "ICE STORM" hit Quebec and we had to cancel. We were so disappointed. But we'll be back soon! Can't forget to mention Scooter Bob's with the most reasonable scooter rental rates... bikes were for rent... there was also a little liquor shop if you wanted beer or wine 'after hours'.

If you like 'local colour' and mingling with interesting folks, you'll love Turtle Cove Inn. I've raved about it to everyone who's asked me, "How was your trip to Turks and Caicos?" This may sound like an add, but it's a true blue experience. We've travelled extensively and if you're looking for 'reasonable' in an 'unreasonable' (defined as not much to do on a little bitty island) book it! You won't be disappointed.
