The Seagate is affordable and spacious - a true value. Visited: May 2006

The Seagate is a four-unit condo complex located just a stone's throw from the beach. While the units don't have a direct beach view (the upper two have some view), they are very spacious and open.

Unit 101, the unit we stayed in, had two full baths, a large bedroom, and a full kitchen. It was clean and very comfortable. The real benefit to staying at the Seagate was its affordability. We were literally 30 seconds from Grace Bay Beach, and didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. In fact, we were closer to the beach at the Seagate then if we stayed in a larger condo complex.

Since it was a small establishment, we didn't have amenities like an onsite restaurant. But all condo complexes that did have restaurants welcomed anyone and everyone, so food and variety was not an issue.

I would definitely stay at the Seagate again. Everyone was very friendly, the atmosphere was homey, and we had a great time. Not to mention, once we were on the beach we could walk two minutes to the left and be the only two people within a 1/4 mile. It was in a great location, with a reef right off shore, and they had a wonderful beach.

The Seagate was a unique experience with a great beach and reef. They had beautiful units, pool, and grounds. The fantastic owners,
Eva and Rahul, provideed for all our needs.

It was in a beautiful setting, and was just a great place to stay on the island.

The Seagate is a great place. Visited: April 2006

My wife and I stayed at the Seagate for the second time in April 2006, and we absolutely loved it. For those of you looking for a low-key, well-priced, beautiful place in a great location on the island, this is it.

The Seagate is basically a "villa" type complex with 4-5 units I believe, and a beautiful courtyard/garden area and pool.

It is within walking distance to one of the best stretches of Grace Bay Beach, and one of the best in-shore snorkeling reefs on the whole island. We saw sea turtles on the grass flats every day, and the reef and tropical fish were breathtaking.

The owners of Seagate were great hosts, very helpful and accommodating, and were a great resource of local knowledge, (i.e. - car rental, good restaurants, stuff off the "beaten path").

The Seagate was a short drive to the Turtle Cove marina area, and to the main "strip" of Grace Bay where most of the restaurants and shops were. It was nice, yet the area Seagate was located on was quite quiet, and didn't get a lot of traffic.

I would definitely recommend the Seagate for those traveling to Providenciales who are not looking for the big resort experience.

The Seagate offers private peace and paradise. Visited: April 2006
Posted by chrissyhaislip
Provo had been my 'dream vacation' for nearly eight years when I finally booked the trip. After much reading and research, I picked the Seagate. Eva's initial email to confirm availability was so warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond in making recommendations even prior to us coming for packing, securing a vehicle while we were there, and even places to eat.

We stayed in Suite 201...our own private upstairs haven! The bedroom suite was almost the exact same as mine from home! That only confirmed to me that the years of waiting, I had chosen the place I was meant to be!

We asked Eva about where to snorkel---"about 100 paces from the back of your rental car. The reef is to the right but if you want to swim with the (sea) turtles, they will be on your left." That was no exaggeration. After unloading our luggage (truly, don't need to bring much in the way of clothes except shorts, shirts, and swimsuits) we were with the turtles in minutes!

The Seagate had beach towels, chairs and an umbrella. Also, the Seagate's small pool was refreshing, and we found frequently to ourselves!

Daily housekeeping was a plus with trips back in and out of the room for different excursions and was always found spotless. The upstairs room gave us privacy and a spectaular view. Eva was always a phone call away for advice or directions.

This place was perfect for us...we don't require people falling over each other to wait on us. We rather prefer a friendly atmosphere, clean surroundings, and peace, quiet and privacy.

In addition, the location was so convenient to everything we wanted to do! We can't get back there soon enough!

The Seagate was like a "home away from home". Visited: April 2006
Posted by carlakenyon
We had the pleasure of staying here this spring. Our condo was spacious with a big balcony. We were steps from beautiful Grace Bay Beach, where my daughters snorkeled the reef every day.

We enjoyed the pool, surrounded by palm trees and fragrant flowers. My daughters had the pool to themselves most days. In the evening, we walked back to the beach to enjoy the magnificant sunset.

The staff was polite and accommodating. Eva was the perfect host and seemed to take great pride in her property. If you are looking for a small, well appointed property - this is the one.

Don't waste your money at a large resort. Visited: March 2006
Posted by ckres2777
Believe everything you read in reviews about the Seagate. And, unless you absolutely want an all-inclusive stay, don't waste your money at one of the larger, more expensive resorts.

We have traveled somewhat extensively within the U.S., Bermuda, Hawaii, Mexico (where we own a timeshare) and several islands in the Caribbean and I can honestly say that the week we spent with Eva and Rahul at the Seagate was the best experience we ever had. They treated us like their house guests. The only problem you will have is leaving!

The Seagate offers excellent accommodations and is conveniently located. Visited: February 2006

If you prefer staying in condo-like facilities, this is the place. It has all the conveniences of a condo, but is smaller (four units) and more intimate.

Also, it is a very short walk to Grace Beach and one of the better restaurants on the island. You also get a view of the ocean, and a pool. It is beautifully landscaped, and is conveniently located to the airport, grocery store, and harbor.

The Seagate was a delightful oasis of tranquility in a perfect location. The nearby swimming, snorkeling and beaching were world class. Eva was a delightful hostess, and our two-bedroom condo was perfect and very spacious.

We had an excellent visit. Visited: January 2006

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Seagate, with two other families, during the first week of January 2006.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, not the least thanks to the beautiful, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere of The Seagate.

The island itself is simple, nice and stress-free. Best of all, is the beach, literally just a few steps away from The Seagate. Our memories of the sand have kept us warm through the cold New York winter.

This is our new heaven on earth. Visited: June 2005
Posted by jdc
This was our first visit to Provo, and definitely will not be our last. Our family enjoyed ourselves extremely. We most certainly will be returning and we won't change a thing the next time either.

The Seagate should be renamed "Heaven On Earth", as that is exactly how all of us felt.

The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. It made us feel that we were the owners, not the renters. The rooms were large and very clean, and the kitchen area had all the room any family would ever need.

The gardens and walkways to the pool were gorgeous , the hammock was well used , and the pool was like a big bathtub.

The ocean was 49 seconds away, and very uncrowded (unlike your all-inclusive resort properties). Snorkeling and snuba were absoutely unbelievable, also.

Eva, one of the hosts of the Seagate, certainly outdid herself. My wife and I renewed our wedding vows on the beach, Eva set the whole thing up - flowers, pastor, photographer and dinner). That doesn't happen very often where the a host will go the extra ten miles that Eva went for us. Thanks!

Eva and Rahul, you will always have a place in all our hearts.

P.S. Book us in for May, 2006!

Seagate is a hidden treasure. Visited: June 2005

The Seagate is charming! It's in a great location, is quiet, and had a full kitchen. It is also very spacious, clean, and modern. We loved having a fridge with an ice maker and filter water.

Eva and Raoul were great in helping with any and every question we had. We definitely would go back and recommend this accommodation to others.

You will feel right at home at the Seagate! Visited: March 2005
Posted by drnick
My wife and I (along with two other couples) spent a week at the Seagate this past March '05. We were already very familiar with the island, as we had been there five times previously.

We found the Seagate online, and knew exactly where it was - which was on the best part of Grace Bay, two minutes from some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean.

We were absolutely delighted with the accommodations, which were clean, spacious, and inviting.

All of our friends love to cook, so the fact that there was a fantastic BBQ at our disposal, made it ideal. We were informed where to buy fresh fish by our lovely hosts, Eva and Rahul. We ended up cooking half of the time and eating out the other half- which suited us perfectly.

We really enjoyed having our own little "oasis" in the backyard, with a nice pool, patio area, and hammock- a great way to relax after a day at the beach.

Eva and Rahul were awesome! They were two of the nicest people we have ever met- they will look after anything you need.

We would recommend the Seagate to any of our friends, and already are making plans to return.

This was the best stress-free vacation ever! Visited: August 2004
Posted by cschooley
Our family has visited Provo three times, staying at the Seagate Villa each time. As we expected from the website, the Seagate was clean, modern, well equipped, moderately priced and a short walk from a magnificent beach.

What we didn’t expect was the superior hospitality from the hosts, Rahul and Eva. Whether we needed a ride to the airport, recommendations on restaurants, favorite snorkeling or diving spots, or even the best place on the island to find good prices on groceries, Rahul and Eva were quick to accommodate.

Before our last visit, we did many hours of internet surfing looking at different Caribbean islands. But in the end, we just couldn’t beat Provo and the Seagate for the beautiful beaches and the peace of mind of knowing that there would be no surprises at the Seagate.

We have come to consider Rahul and Eva our dear friends and are saving for our next trip to Provo and the Seagate. If you are searching for the ultimate stress-free vacation, we would definitely recommend Provo and the Seagate!

We had a fabulous vacation at a great value. Visited: March 2004

This was our fifth year in a row at the Seagate. Eva and Rahul are most gracious hosts who are willing to attend to every need.

We have traveled to the Seagate with friends on many occasions, with our kids on others, and last year alone as a couple, and have found nothing changes at the Seagate - it is truly like visiting an old friend.

The amenities are top rate, the private pool is a great oasis away from the beach, yet only steps away. It is great to be within walking distance from the great restaurants and bars along Grace Bay beach.

Also, it is fun to be able to walk down the driveway and end up at the best snorkeling around. In addition, Eva and Rahul have some secret snorkeling spots they can let you in on. We are coming back in March 2005 without a doubt.

Everything was perfect - this must be paradise! Visited: March 2004

We found Seagate at the end of our first visit to Turks and Caicos. We booked a unit before we left Provo. We even changed our vacation dates to stay at this jewel.

When we arrived this past March, the Seagate was even lovelier than we had remembered. We immediately reserved for 2005.

Rahul and Eva were like angels insuring that our stay was perfect.

We've tayed here five years in a row - it's absolutely the best place! Visited: March 2004
Posted by crmack1
We have stayed here for five years in a row, always during the first week of March. It is small, but a perfectly maintained property with large units and first class kitchen accommodations.

The pool is small, but lovely and it is always clean and cool.
Also, the location is excellent because it is convenient to everything one would want, and right next to the best snorkeling on the island. I walk the beach every day and it is often quite isolated (not too much, however) so I can get a quiet and relaxing time on the most beautiful beach.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island. I love Seagate.

A lovely, peaceful and clean accommodation with all facilities. Visited: March 2004

This was our third visit to Provo and the second time we have stayed at the Seagate. We have just returned and have already booked for next year!

Eva and Rahul were the perfect hosts, two lovely people (thank you both again), The accommodation was excellent and very comfortable, with great facilities.

The situation was superb with bars and restaurants close by, but not too close! And the beach! It was just on our doorstep.

We are very lucky to be able to take several vacations each year, but we love the Seagate where we are able to totally unwind. And there is also the best wall diving in the world on the doorstep as well. This is now one of our most favorite places.

The Seagate offers outstanding peace and quiet with a fablous beach. Visited: February 2004
Posted by tnhupy1
Our first visit to the Turks and Caicos Islands was one of many we’ve made over the years to various places in the Caribbean for rest and relaxation.

We found The Seagate on line while searching for a quiet place to relax that had a great beach. Wow, were we fortunate to find The Seagate and to meet Rahul and Eva.

New places are fun and exciting to visit, but since we travel with two children and two of our parents, we also prefer have minimal travel challenges.

Eva and Rahul’s hospitality and assistance provided carefree arrangements right down to help with “Scooter Bob’s” on island car rental. Eva even directed us to the pier where the local fishermen returned daily with their booty and we purchased fresh (I mean really fresh!) lobster and fish for cooking on the Seagate grill. Imagine how good that was with a chilled white wine!

We’ve managed two visits to The Seagate just a few months apart and are eagerly awaiting our third trip.

We enjoyed our stay at The Seagate tremendously. The grounds, pool and condo were impeccably clean and private. It felt like paradise. Also, the beautiful beach was just a short walk away.

We have never vacationed any place where we received so much pampering. Rahul and Eva were extremely generous to us. They definitely wanted our stay to be memorable. That it was! We look forward to going back.
